Many people enjoy to Snowboard rather than ski and it’s a popular activity in New Zealand during the winter season. All New Zealand ski areas provide for snowboarding and you will often find more snowboarders than skiiers. The most popular places for snowboarding seems to be Wanaka, Cardrona and the Remarkables. Infact Wanaka is New Zealand’s snowboarding capital and is filled with people during the ski season.
Snow Park, New Zealands largest terrain park is also a fantastic place for snowboarders. It features New Zealand’s longest superpipe and they have a half pipe which is good. They have a huge selection of rails, hits and jumps.
